Pocket-Sized 1 TB Portable SSD

The Orico K20Mini is a 1 TB external solid-state drive built for photographers, video creators and anyone who needs fast, pocketable storage. It connects via a Type-C interface and reaches sequential read speeds up to 2000 MB/s and write speeds up to 1800 MB/s. A magnetic attachment ring is included for secure mounting on compatible smartphones, tablets and computers. The silver aluminium body measures 60 mm by 68 mm by 7.5 mm.

Plug-and-Play With Magnetic Mount

Installation is straightforward: connect the supplied data cable to a Type-C port and the drive is ready to use without extra drivers. The included magnetic ring sticks to the back of compatible devices so the SSD stays in place during recording or transfer. The ring does not work with Apple phones that use Lightning connectors, so owners of those models cannot use the magnetic feature. No software setup is required for basic operation.

USB 20 Gbps Practical Limits

The Type-C interface caps real-world throughput at the drive’s rated 2000 MB/s read and 1800 MB/s write, so sustained transfers will not exceed those figures. 4K 120 fps ProRes HDR recording is supported on iPhone 15 and 16 Pro and Pro Max models, but the drive cannot serve devices that lack a Type-C port or the necessary video protocol. Buyers needing higher sustained bandwidth or compatibility with Lightning-only iPhones should consider other solutions.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the Orico K20Mini is delivering the 2000MB/s read speed after setup?

Run a benchmark tool such as CrystalDiskMark or Blackmagic Disk Speed Test over the Type-C connection; the drive should show sequential reads near 2000MB/s and writes near 1800MB/s.

What does the K20Mini-1T-GD-BP box contain and what must I purchase separately?

The package includes the 1TB portable SSD, a magnetic ring, one data cable and the instruction leaflet; any additional adapters or longer cables are not supplied.

Which capacity should I choose between the 512GB, 1TB and 2TB versions of the K20Mini?

The 1TB model balances space and cost for 4K 120fps ProRes recording on iPhone 15/16 Pro/Max; choose 512GB for lighter use or 2TB for extended shoots.
