Thunderbolt 4 cable for compact setups

The Orico TBZ is a 1 ft Thunderbolt cable with a right-angle USB-C connector. It supports 40 Gbps data transfer and carries up to 100 W of power. The cable handles a single 8K display at 60 Hz or dual 4K output. It works with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 and USB 3.0 hosts and devices.

Ideal for tight ports and short runs

Suits users who need a short, high-speed link between a laptop and a dock, monitor or storage device where a straight plug would foul adjacent ports. The right-angle head eases routing behind a MacBook Pro, Dell XPS 13 or similar ultraportable. Buyers who need a longer reach or a straight connector should look at other lengths.

Check port orientation and power needs

Verify that the Thunderbolt or USB-C port on your host and peripheral accepts a right-angle plug without blocking neighbouring sockets. Confirm the connected device can negotiate 100 W charging if you intend to power a laptop through the cable. Ensure both ends support the 40 Gbps Thunderbolt standard for full video and data performance.

Questions about this item

Which Thunderbolt port on my MacBook Pro 13.3 2020 does this right-angle 1 ft cable plug into?

It connects to any Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 3 port on that MacBook Pro 13.3 2020.

Will the 40Gbps link still run at full speed when I keep my older USB 3.0 dock in the chain?

The cable carries Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 and USB 3.0, so the older dock will operate at its own USB 3.0 rate while the Thunderbolt path remains 40Gbps.

How can I confirm the 100W charging is active after I connect the cable?

Your MacBook Pro or iPad Pro will show the charging indicator and report the power level in its battery menu once the 100W connection is negotiated.
