ORVIX 130R6 M.2 2280 SSD Heatsink for Dell XPS 15 9500 9510 Precision 5550 5560 Latitude 5500

ORVIX 130R6 M.2 2280 Heatsink

This heatsink cover fits the first M.2 slot on Dell XPS 15 9500, Precision 5550, 5560 and Latitude 5500 laptops. It also fits the second slot on the XPS 15 9510. The part ships with two M2x2 mounting screws for direct installation. Builders adding a second drive to an XPS 9510 require this specific shield.

Slot-specific compatibility

The product is keyed to a single slot position per model. It covers slot one on the 9500, 5550, 5560 and 5500 but moves to slot two on the 9510. Using it in the wrong slot leaves the drive without thermal contact. Buyers who need a heatsink for the primary slot on a 9510 cannot use this part.

Sustained thermal behaviour

The metal shield spreads heat across its surface during long write sessions or heavy workloads. Without active airflow it relies on the chassis to dissipate that energy. Systems that throttle quickly under continuous load will still throttle once the heatsink saturates. Buyers expecting active cooling or fan-assisted dissipation will not find it here.
