ORVIX 5V 2A Power Adapter
This ORVIX adapter supplies 5 volts at up to 2 amps with a maximum of 10 watts. It accepts 100 to 240 volt AC input at 50 or 60 hertz. The unit includes both 5.5 by 2.5 mm and 5.5 by 2.1 mm DC plugs. It suits devices such as TV boxes, cameras, speakers, routers, Raspberry Pi boards, USB hubs and LED strips.
Sustained load behaviour
The adapter delivers continuous current from 0.1 amps up to the full 2 amps without exceeding the rated 5 volt output. It is not a charger and must not be used with equipment that draws more than 2 amps. Overloading the unit will cause it to fail or shut down.
Installation and common issues
Match the DC plug size exactly to the device jack before connecting. Verify the device requires exactly 5 volts and no more than 2 amps. Do not select the adapter based on the device’s wattage alone. Using the wrong voltage, current rating or plug size is the main reason for incompatibility.

Questions about this item
Does the 10 W output run hot or make noise when powering a device continuously?
The 10 W adapter has no fan and uses passive cooling, so it stays silent; warmth is normal under full 2 A load.
My router needs a 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm centre-positive plug — will the included tip fit?
The cable ends in both 5.5 mm × 2.5 mm and 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm barrels, covering the two sizes listed in the spec.
Can I use this 5 V 2 A unit with an older 5 V 1 A webcam without damaging it?
Yes — the supply delivers only the current the device draws, so a 1 A webcam will take 1 A and run safely.
