Compatible Laptop Models

This heatsink cover fits Dell Alienware M15 Ryzen Edition R5 and Alienware M15 R6 2021 gaming laptops. It is designed for the M.2 2280 slot found in these specific machines. The part numbers 26X1Y and 026X1Y identify the correct replacement component.

Slot 1 and Slot 2 Upgrade

The cover supports installation in either Slot 1 or Slot 2 of the compatible laptops. It allows you to add a 2280 NVMe solid-state drive where a drive was not previously installed. The package includes the heatsink cover and two mounting screws for the installation.

Sustained Thermal Performance

The heatsink cover acts as a thermal shield for the installed SSD during extended operation. It helps dissipate heat generated by the drive under continuous workloads. This maintains drive stability when the laptop is used for long gaming or rendering sessions. Builders needing a different form factor or a drive without a heatsink requirement should look elsewhere.
