This four-piece aluminium heatsink kit is designed for M.2 NVMe solid-state drives. Each unit measures 70 by 22 by 3 millimetres and includes a thermal pad sized at approximately 70 by 20 by 1 millimetre. The grooved vertical and horizontal layout increases surface area to draw heat away from the controller and memory chips.

Suits standard 2280 modules only

Builders fitting a 2280 form-factor NVMe drive can use these heatsinks directly. The 70-millimetre length matches the main chip area on 80-millimetre boards. Installers working with shorter 2230 or 2242 modules, or with drives whose controller exceeds 22 millimetres in width, will need a different cooler.
