SFP+ Transceiver for 10km Links

This SFP+ module delivers a 10.3125Gbps data rate over single-mode fibre at a 1310nm wavelength, reaching distances up to 10km. It uses a DFB transmitter and Duplex LC/UPC connectors. The unit is built for server rack environments needing reliable long-range connectivity.

Replaces Short-Range or Copper Uplinks

The module upgrades 10GBASE-SR optics or direct-attach cables when links exceed their reach limits. It is worth deploying when patch-panel runs, building-to-building fibres or campus backbones require the full 10km distance budget. DOM support lets you monitor signal health in real time.

Fits Standard SFP+ Ports in Rack Gear

The transceiver slides into any SFP+ cage on switches, routers or servers inside the rack. It frees copper ports for shorter runs and removes the need for media converters. Single-mode patch cords with LC duplex terminations complete the link.

Questions about this item

Will this SFP+ module fit a standard SFP+ cage in my switch?

Yes, it uses the SFP+ form factor and a duplex LC connector, so it inserts directly into any standard SFP+ port.

What is the correct way to insert the module and connect the fibre?

Remove the dust caps, insert the module until it clicks, then connect the duplex LC patch cable with the correct Tx and Rx orientation.

When should I plan to replace this transceiver?

Replace it if the digital optical monitoring shows rising Tx or Rx power levels, or if link errors appear on the 10km single-mode fibre run.
