Compact Thunderbolt 5 expansion hub

The OWC Thunderbolt 5 Hub turns a single upstream connection into four downstream ports, three Thunderbolt 5 and one USB-A. It is built for professionals who need more high-speed ports on a Mac, PC or iPad Pro without adding bulk or fan noise. The aluminium enclosure runs silently and stays cool during extended workloads. Compatibility spans Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3 and USB4 hosts.

80Gb/s bi-directional bandwidth

Data moves at up to 80Gb/s in each direction, while video streams can use up to 120Gb/s to drive up to three 8K displays. The hub handles multiple high-resolution monitors and fast storage arrays simultaneously. When total device demand exceeds the upstream link, bandwidth is shared, so the very heaviest combined loads will queue. The 140W Power Delivery keeps a demanding notebook charged while all ports are active.

Replaces single-port dongles

Users who currently rely on a basic USB-C hub gain three full Thunderbolt 5 lanes plus legacy USB-A in one device. The upgrade is worthwhile when workflows demand simultaneous 8K video, high-throughput storage and laptop charging from one cable. It is not for buyers who need more than four downstream ports or who require active cooling for sustained peak throughput.

Questions about this item

Will the 80Gb/s upstream port work with my Thunderbolt 3 laptop?

Yes, the hub is fully compatible with Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, USB4 and USB-C hosts, so your existing laptop will connect and run at its native speed.

How can I verify the 140W charging is active after I plug in?

Your notebook's battery icon will show it is receiving 140W of Power Delivery, and the hub's fanless aluminium enclosure will stay cool during operation.

Does the package include a cable and do I need a separate power brick?

A Thunderbolt 5 cable is included in the box, and the 140W Power Delivery is supplied by the hub itself so no extra power adapter is required.
