Rugged 10.1" convertible notebook

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 is a fully rugged convertible notebook with a 10.1-inch touch LED display. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5 processor at 2.5GHz with 8GB DDR3 memory and a 160GB hard drive. Built for field professionals, it includes Verizon 4G LTE, GPS, and a digitizer pen.

MIL-STD certified drop resistance

The magnesium alloy chassis meets MIL-STD-810G and IP65 ratings for dust, water, and 6-foot drop protection. No internal upgrades are described in the data, so buyers should not expect user-serviceable storage or memory changes. The included power adapter matches the unit's input requirements.

Sunlight-viewable XGA touchscreen

The 1024 x 768 XGA panel reaches high brightness for outdoor readability. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, while wired LAN tops out at 1000Mbps. The single-core processor and mechanical hard drive limit performance in modern multi-threaded workloads.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 10.1" touchscreen digitizer is registering input correctly after first boot?

Open the Windows 10 Pro calibration utility and tap each corner of the 1024 x 768 XGA panel; the included pen should track without offset.

Which accessories are included in the box and which common items are not?

The package contains the digitizer pen and a power adapter; no optical drive, external mouse or spare battery are supplied.

Should I choose the 32-bit or 64-bit edition of Windows 10 Pro for the 8 GB DDR3 800 memory?

Select the 64-bit edition so the full 8 GB is addressable; the 32-bit edition would limit usable memory to about 4 GB.
