Rugged convertible laptop

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 is a fully rugged convertible laptop built for field workers who need a device that survives drops, dust and water. Its magnesium alloy chassis meets MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 certification. A 10.1-inch sunlight-viewable touchscreen with digitizer pen support rotates to become a tablet. Windows 10 Pro runs on a 2.70GHz Intel Core i5 single-core processor with 8GB DDR3 800 memory.

256GB SSD and 8GB DDR3

The 256GB solid-state drive provides fast boot times and enough space for the operating system, drivers and core field applications. Eight gigabytes of DDR3 800 RAM split across two 4GB modules handles typical office and data-collection workloads. Memory-intensive tasks such as large database work or virtual machines will exceed the available capacity. The single-core processor limits multi-threaded performance headroom.

802.11a/b/g/n wireless and wired LAN

Wireless connectivity uses the 802.11a/b/g/n standard for compatibility with existing enterprise Wi-Fi infrastructure. A gigabit Ethernet port offers a stable 10/100/1000Mbps wired link when wireless is unreliable. The platform does not support newer Wi-Fi protocols or Bluetooth versions beyond what the chipset provides. Peripheral expansion relies on legacy ports not detailed in the specification.

Questions about this item

Will the CF-19's 10/100/1000Mbps LAN port work with my older 10/100 switch?

Yes, the Gigabit Ethernet port auto-negotiates down to 10 or 100 Mbps, so it will link with legacy switches without any configuration.

How can I verify the 2.7GHz Core i5 and 8GB DDR3 are recognised after first boot?

Open Task Manager or System Information in Windows 10 Pro; the processor will show as Intel Core i5 at 2.70 GHz and installed memory as 8 GB DDR3 running at 800 MHz.

Does the box include the digitizer pen and power adapter, or must I buy them separately?

Both the digitizer pen and the power adapter are included in the package; no separate purchase is required for either item.
