Rugged 13.1-inch touch laptop

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 is a fully rugged 13.1-inch laptop with a sunlight-viewable XGA touchscreen. It runs Windows 10 Pro on a 2.40GHz Intel Core i5 processor with 4GB of DDR3 memory and a 256GB SSD. The chassis meets MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 certifications for drop, shock, vibration, dust and water resistance. A digitizer pen and power adapter are included.

Field workers needing sealed 4G GPS

This unit suits mobile professionals who require a sealed device with integrated Verizon 4G LTE and a GPS receiver for outdoor navigation and data capture. The single-core processor and 4GB memory limit multitasking and modern application performance. Buyers who need more memory capacity or multi-core processing speed should consider other configurations.

Single-core 2.40GHz i5 processor

The CPU is a single-core Intel Core i5 running at 2.40GHz, which determines the ceiling for all compute tasks. It cannot handle parallel workloads or heavy background services effectively. Verify that your software runs acceptably on a single thread before purchasing this unit.

Questions about this item

Do I need a specific docking station to use the CF-31 with external monitors?

The laptop provides a standard LAN port and VGA output for external displays; proprietary docking connectors are on the underside but a dock is not required for basic video output.

Will my existing DDR3 800 SODIMM modules work if I upgrade the 4GB memory?

Yes, the system uses two 2 GB DDR3 800 sticks, so any compatible DDR3 800 SODIMM can replace them for a higher capacity.

How can I verify the Verizon 4G LTE and GPS receiver are active after setup?

Open Device Manager to confirm the WWAN and GPS devices appear without errors, then launch the Panasonic connection utility to register on the Verizon network and acquire a satellite fix.
