Verify OS and storage needs

This unit ships with Windows 10 Pro 32/64-bit installed on a 500GB hard drive; no solid-state drive is present. Buyers who require an SSD or a newer Windows version should plan for a separate upgrade. Connectivity includes Verizon 4G LTE, GPS receiver, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN, Bluetooth 4.0 and 10/100/1000Mbps LAN.

Docking and peripheral readiness

Sixteen years of consistent docking compatibility let this laptop slide into existing Toughbook vehicle mounts and port replicators. The included power adapter supplies office or field power without extra sourcing. Buyers who need an optical drive or additional internal storage bays will not find them on this chassis.

Questions about this item

Does the box include the digitizer pen and power adapter, or must I buy them separately?

The digitizer pen and power adapter are included in the box with the Toughbook CF-31.

Should I choose the 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 10 Pro version for this 8GB DDR3 system?

Choose the 64-bit version to use all 8GB of DDR3 memory; the 32-bit version would limit usable RAM.

What does the MIL-STD-810G and IP65 rating mean for daily field use?

MIL-STD-810G and IP65 certify the CF-31 for drop-shock protection, dust ingress and water jets in real environments.
