Fully rugged 13.1-inch Toughbook CF-31 MK2

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 MK2 is a fully rugged laptop built to MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 standards. It combines a 13.1-inch XGA sunlight-viewable touchscreen with a 2.5GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 256GB SSD storage and 4GB DDR3 800 memory. Verizon 4G LTE and a GPS receiver provide connectivity in the field. Windows 10 Pro, a digitizer pen and power adapter are included.

Sustained field operation with certified durability

The magnesium alloy chassis passes drop-shock, vibration, altitude and temperature tests defined by MIL-STD-810G and meets IP65 ingress protection. Electromagnetic compatibility is verified to MIL-STD-461F for reliable operation near radio equipment. The sunlight-viewable LED display remains readable in direct outdoor conditions while the sealed keyboard and port covers maintain protection during continuous use.

Verify software and peripheral needs before ordering

The system ships with Windows 10 Pro in 32-bit or 64-bit configuration; confirm your application compatibility with this OS version. Memory uses DDR3 800 SO-DIMM modules in a 2 GB x 2 layout; check upgrade limits if more RAM is required. Wireless uses 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0; ensure your network infrastructure supports these standards.

Questions about this item

Does the 2.5GHz i5 (MK2) run hot or loud when the CF-31 is used all day?

The MIL-STD-810G and IP65 certified chassis is built for continuous operation in harsh environments; the sealed design manages heat without active fan noise under typical workloads.

What must I already own to use the Verizon 4G LTE and GPS receiver on this Toughbook?

An active Verizon data plan with a compatible SIM is required; the WWAN module and GPS hardware are integrated and ready once service is provisioned.

Will my existing DDR3 800 modules work if I want more than the installed 4GB (2 GB x 2) memory?

The system uses DDR3 800 SO-DIMMs; additional modules must match that speed and form factor to be recognised by the MK2 platform.
