Compact wall-mount fiber enclosure for two

This Panduit FWME2 unit mounts on a wall and accepts two QuickNet cassettes for fiber patching or splicing. Its black metal body measures 12 inches wide by 10.2 inches high by 2.3 inches deep. The enclosure is manufactured in the United States and meets RoHS environmental requirements. It suits installers who need a shallow, indoor termination point for small fiber counts.

Two-cassette capacity defines the scaling limit

Only two QuickNet cassettes fit inside, so the enclosure supports a limited number of fiber terminations. Projects that require higher port density or additional slack storage will exceed this capacity. The fixed depth of 2.3 inches also restricts the bend radius management for larger cable bundles. Buyers needing more cassette slots or deeper cable management should consider a larger enclosure.

Questions about this item

How much wall space does the 12-inch width actually need?

The enclosure measures 12 inches wide, so allow at least that much clear horizontal space plus room for cable routing on either side.

What does the 2.3-inch depth limit for cable management?

At 2.3 inches deep the box only accommodates patch cords and slack loops; bulky splice trays or large breakout kits will not fit.
