Product identity

The Pannet UTP28SP8GR is an eight-foot Cat6 UTP patch cable with a green CM-rated LSZH jacket. It is intended for installers and network managers who need a standard copper link for Gigabit Ethernet runs. Buyers who require a different length, colour, or plenum rating will need another product.

What the bundle changes

The cable is supplied as a single terminated cord with no additional connectors, tools, or software. The LSZH jacket reduces smoke and halogen emission in fire conditions compared with standard PVC, which matters in regulated building areas. No extra accessories alter the installation process.

Deciding specification

The conductor gauge is 28 AWG, which makes the cord thinner and more flexible than typical 24 AWG patch cables. This gauge suits tight patch-panel spacing and dense cabinet routing, but it increases insertion loss on longer channels.

Questions about this item

Will the 24 AWG conductors need replacement under normal use?

The solid 24 AWG copper conductors are rated for the cable's lifetime and do not require scheduled replacement.

Does the 28 AWG stranded section limit bandwidth on long runs?

The 28 AWG stranded portion is only eight feet long, well within Cat6 channel limits for full 1 Gbps throughput.

Does the CM LSZH jacket run hotter than PVC when bundled all day?

The CM-rated LSZH jacket meets the same temperature-rise requirements as standard PVC and adds low-smoke safety.
