Radial Chain TC2212MM Overview

Peerless Industrial Group TC2212MM radial chain tire chains are built to reduce sidewall wear on radial tires. They serve as a basic winter traction product for light trucks, vans and recreational vehicles. The set includes a pair of chains with a metal fastening system. They are designed for quick installation and easy removal.

Tire Size Fitment Limits

These chains fit a specific range of light-truck sizes including 7.50-16LT, 8.25-17, 9.50-16.5LT and 10.00-15LT among others. They also cover metric sizes such as 215/75-16C, LT215/85-16, 235/75-16 and LT245/70-17. The product does not meet Class S clearance requirements for restricted wheel wells. Buyers with limited clearance or different tire sizes should verify compatibility before use.

Installation and Common Issues

The metal fastening system allows the chains to be installed in minutes and removed easily. A frequent issue is incorrect tension after fitting, which can cause chain slap or uneven wear. The chains are not rated for Class S vehicle clearances, so they may contact brake lines or suspension components on some models. Always re-check tension after driving a short distance.

The 8.5 mm radial chain links give basic winter traction while the design reduces sidewall wear on radial tyres under load.

Does the metal fastening system meet Class S clearance limits?

The manufacturer states the chains do not meet Class S requirements; the metal fasteners add bulk, so check your vehicle’s clearance first.
