Legal-size hanging folders for high-volume filing

The Pendaflex ESS6153 1/5 YEL folders are legal-size hanging files designed for offices that process large amounts of paperwork. Each box contains twenty yellow folders with a one-fifth tab cut for detailed labelling. The poly laminate construction resists tearing during frequent handling.

One-fifth tab and poly laminate improve organisation

The 1/5 tab layout creates five distinct label positions across the folder top, allowing finer category separation than standard tabs. Yellow colour-coding supports quick visual sorting by department or project. Poly laminate material adds durability compared with standard paper stock, reducing replacement frequency.

Hangs on standard rails without tools

Folders hook onto existing legal-size hanging rails in file cabinets or desk drawers; no hardware or assembly is required. Tabs arrive blank so users apply their own labels or printed inserts. Misaligned rails or overstuffed drawers are the most common causes of snagging or uneven hanging.

Questions about this item

Do the poly-laminate tabs on the ESS6153 folders tear or curl after repeated handling?

The poly-laminate reinforcement on the 1/5-cut tabs resists tearing and curling far longer than standard paper tabs, so replacement is rarely needed during normal office use.

Will the rod hooks on these legal-size folders bend if the box is filled to its 20-folder capacity?

The metal suspension hooks are rated for the full 20-folder load; they only deform if the drawer is overstuffed beyond the designed capacity.

Does the yellow poly coating trap heat or create noise when the folders slide on the rails all day?

The smooth laminate surface adds no measurable friction or heat, and the folders glide silently on standard hanging rails during continuous use.
