PIODATA iXflash Cube 128 GB Photo Backup Drive

The PIODATA iXflash Cube is a 128 GB USB flash drive built for iPhone and iPad owners who want automatic photo and video backup while charging. It connects via USB Type A and carries Apple MFi certification, so it works directly with supported iOS devices without extra adapters. The companion app manages the process and creates separate folders for each user.

Plug in and let the app handle the rest

Installation is straightforward: insert the drive into a USB Type A charger or hub, connect your iPhone or iPad, and follow the app prompts to grant access. The device only backs up new items, so repeated sessions do not duplicate files. Dark mode in the app reduces power draw during long charging periods. Ensure the iOS device stays unlocked and on Wi-Fi if iCloud content must be included.

Ideal for households with multiple iOS devices

This drive suits families or individuals who regularly charge iPhones or iPads and want a hands-free local backup that preserves Live Photos, Burst shots, dates and locations. It is not suited for users who need cross-platform file transfer, high-speed direct storage for apps, or backup solutions that work without a dedicated charging setup.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the iXflash Cube has finished backing up my photos and videos after I plug it in while charging?

The iXflash Cube app shows the backup progress and confirms when all new photos and videos, including iCloud content on Wi-Fi, have been copied without duplicating existing files.

What comes with the 128 GB iXflash Cube and do I need to buy any cables or adapters separately?

The package includes the white 128 GB iXflash Cube with a USB Type-A connector for direct connection to a charger; the app is a free download and no extra cables are required for iPhone or iPad backup.

Should I choose the 128 GB version or is there a larger capacity iXflash Cube for my photo library?

The listed model provides 128 GB of storage; if your library exceeds that size you would need a higher-capacity iXflash Cube, which is a separate product not described here.
