12U Wall-Mount Rack for 19-Inch Gear

This 12U open-frame rack mounts on a wall and accepts standard 19-inch server, network, AV or media equipment. The frame is built from cold-rolled steel with an electrostatic powder coat that resists rust and corrosion. It supports a static load of 110 lbs and a sliding load of 55 lbs. A 180-degree swing gate gives rear cable access from either side.

Upgrade from Smaller Wall Racks

The 12U height adds usable space over 6U or 9U models when you need more rack units in the same wall footprint. The 18-inch depth accommodates deeper devices that would not fit in shallower cabinets. The jump is worth it when your equipment count or chassis depth exceeds what a lower-U or shorter-depth rack can hold.

Limits of the 19-Inch EIA-310 Standard

The rack follows the EIA/ECA-310-E standard for 19-inch equipment mounting. Square and tapped holes are interchangeable, but the 16-inch on-centre wall mounting holes fix the wall anchor pattern. Depth is limited to 18 inches, so gear requiring 24-inch depth will not fit. The swing gate needs clearance to open fully for rear access.
