Two-Piece 1U Blank Panels

This pair of 1U blank panels is made from SPCC cold-rolled steel with a black powder-coat finish. They cover unused rack units in 19-inch server racks and network cabinets to improve airflow management and create a tidy appearance. The solid, non-mesh design hides cables and empty bays without restricting equipment access.

Ideal for Rack Organisation

These panels suit administrators who want to close open slots in a standard 19-inch enclosure and maintain proper front-to-rear cooling. They are not intended for vented airflow requirements, tool-less mounting preferences, or installations that need a different rack-unit height or hole pattern.

19-Inch Universal Fit

Each panel matches the standard 19-inch mounting width used in typical server and network cabinets. The 1U height occupies a single rack unit, so verify the available space before ordering.

Questions about this item

Do the panels generate any noise or heat when installed in a rack that runs continuously?

No, the 1U blank panels are passive steel plates with no moving parts, so they produce zero noise and add no heat to the rack.

What mounting hardware must I already have to attach these panels to a 19 inch rack?

You need standard cage nuts or threaded holes in the rack rails plus screws to secure each panel.

Will these 1U panels align with older 19 inch racks that use different hole spacing?

Yes, the universal design matches the standard 19 inch EIA hole pattern used on both current and legacy racks.
