Adds TCG 2.0 trusted platform security to X10 motherboards via 20-pin header
The Supermicro AOM-TPM-9665V is a vertical trusted platform module that plugs into a 20-pin header on compatible X10 motherboards. It delivers TCG 2.0 compliance with an Infineon 9665 controller and 3.3 V power draw.
This module replaces firmware-only security or an absent TPM header population, adding a hardware accelerator for SHA-1 and SHA-256, a true random number generator and tamper-detection tick counter. The jump is worth it when workloads demand measured boot, sealed storage or Intel TXT support.
Builders fitting the 8 mm by 26 mm by 25 mm vertical form factor into dense server chassis will find it a direct fit. Buyers needing horizontal orientation, a different pin count or support for non-X10 platforms should look elsewhere.

Yes, the vertical form factor measures 8 mm wide by 26 mm long by 25 mm high and is designed for X10 boards with a 20-pin TPM header.
Install the module with the system powered off, then enable TPM 2.0 in the BIOS security menu; the step often missed is saving the BIOS change before rebooting.
The module stores firmware in onboard EEPROM and draws 3.3 V from the header; no battery is used and firmware updates are applied via the platform management tools when released.
