Product Identity

Platinum Tools RJ45 Colored Boots protect standard RJ-45 and ezEX-RJ45 connectors from physical damage. The red PVC sleeves fit cables up to 0.314 inch outer diameter and come in a 25-pack for professional or home network builds.

Sustained Use

Durable PVC material resists daily handling and environmental stress without cracking, keeping connector tabs intact over long deployments. Color coding remains vivid for quick traceability during moves, audits or fault isolation.

Pre-Order Check

Verify your cable outer diameter does not exceed 8 mm and that the plugs are standard RJ-45 or ezEX 48 style. These boots do not fit larger-diameter or non-standard connector bodies.

Questions about this item

Do the red PVC boots add any heat or electrical load when cables run continuously?

No, the boots are passive PVC covers that add no power draw, heat or noise to the link.

What connectors must I already have terminated for these 8 mm boots to fit?

They slide over standard RJ-45 plugs and Platinum Tools ezEX-RJ45 connectors including the ezEX 48 series.

Will the .314 inch maximum diameter still seal older Cat5e patch cords I keep in the rack?

Yes, typical Cat5e cables fall well under the 8 mm limit so the boots fit and protect them.
