PLUGTUL P3+SJTW 3ft Extension Cord 4 Pack

This four-pack of three-foot extension cords from PLUGTUL suits home and office users who need short, grounded power links for appliances, chargers and tools. Each cord carries a 16 AWG SJTW construction with NEMA 5-15P to NEMA 5-15R connectors. The black PVC jacket is rated for indoor and outdoor use.

13 A / 1625 W at 125 V rating

The decisive specification is the 13 amp, 1625 watt capacity at 125 volts, which determines whether the cord can handle the connected load. ETL listing confirms compliance with North American safety standards for this rating. Exceeding the 13 amp limit risks overheating and tripping the supply breaker.

Thermals, noise and power draw

The cords produce no audible noise and draw no power themselves; they simply conduct the load current. The SJTW jacket remains flexible from minus 40 to plus 140 degrees Fahrenheit, resisting sunlight, rain and abrasion in normal use. Nickel-plated brass blades resist corrosion and bending during repeated insertion.

Questions about this item

What does the 13A 1625W rating mean when I plug devices into this cord?

It means the cord can safely carry up to 13 amps or 1625 watts at 125 volts, so the total draw of everything plugged into it must stay at or below those limits.

What does the NEMA 5-15P to NEMA 5-15R connection cap in practice?

The standard US 15-amp plug and receptacle limit the cord to 125 volts and 13 amps continuous, matching the 1625-watt rating on the label.

What clearance do I need for the male and female ends to fit side by side on a power strip?

Each end is a standard NEMA 5-15 straight-blade design, so it fits any US outlet or strip spaced for that pattern without extra clearance.
