Earworn omnidirectional microphone for Shure wireless transmitters with 40Hz-17kHz frequency response, 125dB max SPL and 2000 Ohms impedance
The Point Source Audio CO-6 is an omnidirectional earworn microphone built for presenters, instructors and performers who need hands-free vocal capture. Its beige finish and lightweight 0.60oz frame suit extended speaking engagements such as lectures, fitness classes or broadcast work. The TA4-F connector provides a direct link to compatible Shure wireless transmitters.
The capsule tolerates a maximum sound pressure level of 125dB, giving ample headroom for loud speech or singing without distortion. A 2000 Ohm output impedance matches the input expectations of the intended Shure bodypack transmitters. Frequency response spans 40Hz to 17kHz, covering the vocal range with consistent sensitivity.
The unbreakable boom design allows complete repositioning to place the capsule near the mouth, reducing wind and clothing noise during active use. The earworn mount fits either ear and stays stable through movement, eliminating the need for a handheld or stand-mounted mic. Only the TA4-F termination is supplied, so users with other wireless systems will require an adapter.

Connect the TA4-F connector to the transmitter input, then bend the unbreakable boom so the capsule sits just at the corner of the mouth; the step often missed is rotating the boom for left- or right-ear wear before securing the ear hook.
The beige ear hook and windscreen are the only wear items; replace the windscreen when foam deteriorates and the ear hook if the flexible loop loses grip, typically after months of daily use.
The microphone handles up to 125dB SPL before distortion, so sustained shouting or very close-talk at high volume is the first limit reached under heavy use.
