What this cable is

The Powseed AC-18UL-28 is a new 6-foot figure-8 C7 power cord built for 120-volt, 7-amp service. Its 18 AWG non-polarised male-to-female design carries UL listing and replaces the standard mains lead on many consumer devices.

Who it suits and who it does not

The cord fits laptops, monitors, printers, sound bars and recent PlayStation or Xbox consoles that use a C7 inlet. Buyers whose equipment needs a polarised plug, a grounded inlet or a different connector shape must choose another lead.

The specification that decides fit

The connector is a non-polarised figure-8 C7 pair rated for 120 volts and 7 amps; if the device label calls for a different inlet type or a higher current rating, this cord will not work.

Questions about this item

Does the 18 AWG cord run warm when a console draws 7 amps for hours?

Rated for 120 volts and 7 amps, the 18 AWG conductors handle continuous load without overheating.

What must the device already have to accept this figure-8 plug?

A non-polarised C7 inlet — the two-slot female end fits that socket directly.

Will the non-polarised C7 end fit the older PS3 Slim power supply I still use?

Yes, the figure-8 connector matches the PS3 Slim and Super Slim inlet.
