Solid silicone insert prevents collapse when heat-bending 5/8 in. ID acrylic or PETG rigid tubing
The PrimoChill bending cord is a solid silicone insert designed for 1/2in. OD rigid tubing with a 1/2in. ID. It supports DIY liquid-cooling builders who need to form complex acrylic or PETG tube runs without kinks or collapsed walls. The cord provides internal structure while the tube is heated and shaped. It is sold as a single three-foot piece.
This accessory has no active components, so it produces no noise and draws no power. It does not affect coolant temperatures or flow resistance once removed after bending. The silicone material withstands the heat required to soften rigid tubing during the forming process.
The cord replaces improvised mandrels or hollow inserts that can leave flat spots or internal cavities in tight bends. Builders attempting complex multi-plane routes will benefit from the solid core's consistent support. It is not suited for tubing sizes other than 1/2in. ID or for users who prefer a hollow insert that is easier to remove.

Stretch the cord first, trim any unstretched excess, ream the tube ends with an RFB tool, lubricate both surfaces, then push the cord in slowly; the tight fit prevents collapse during heating but requires patience.
Wipe residue off after each use, inspect for surface tears or permanent deformation, and replace the cord if it no longer stretches evenly or leaves marks inside the tubing.
The cord cannot be stretched as far as a hollow insert, so on very tight radii or extended lengths it will resist removal first, risking tube damage if forced.
