Pro Star USB CD Player for Isuzu NPR-XD

This external CD player adds disc playback to 2019-2026 Isuzu NPR-XD trucks that lack a factory unit. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port for a plug-and-play installation without extra wiring or tools. The device is designed for drivers who want to listen to their existing CD collection through the factory audio system.

USB-powered build with flexible mounting options

The unit draws power from the vehicle USB port so no separate power connection is needed. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the cable reaches. Music control is handled through the factory radio or steering wheel buttons, and a built-in skip protection buffer helps prevent playback interruptions.

Requires a two-minute indexing wait on first use

The critical step is allowing the CD to finish indexing for two minutes before the setup is complete. If that process is interrupted, the instructions direct you to insert a different disc and restart from step one. Buyers who need immediate playback without this initial wait will find this product unsuitable.

Questions about this item

Does the USB interface supply both data and power for the Pro Star CD player?

Yes, the unit draws power from the vehicle USB port and communicates over the same connection, so no separate power cable is required.

What mounting options suit the Pro Star player in an Isuzu NPR-XD cabin?

The compact chassis can be placed vertically or horizontally on the centre console, inside the glove box, or anywhere the supplied USB cable reaches the factory port.

What is the indexing step that causes most setup problems?

After plugging in, you must wait a full two minutes for the first CD to finish indexing before using the controls; interrupting it forces a complete restart with a different disc.
