ARC Audio Extractor for TV Soundbars

The PROZOR YN52 extracts audio from a television ARC-enabled HDMI port and converts it to optical Toslink or coaxial output. It supports sampling rates of 32, 44.1, 48, 96 and 192kHz at 24-bit depth. Uncompressed 2.0-channel PCM is output while Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 passthrough is available. The aluminium alloy housing provides electromagnetic shielding and heat dissipation.

Suits TVs with ARC port only.

This adapter works solely with HDMI ARC labelled ports on the television. Buyers whose TV offers only eARC or plain HDMI outputs cannot use it. Volume must be controlled on the soundbar or receiver because the optical and coaxial interfaces do not pass TV remote volume commands. Users who need multichannel PCM beyond stereo or who require HDMI video pass-through should consider a different solution.

Integrated cables reduce clutter; USB power from TV

A detachable 3.3ft HDMI cable and a 3.3ft optical cable are built into the converter body so no extra leads are required. The unit draws 5V DC power from a TV USB port via the included cable, eliminating an external power brick. Plug the HDMI end into the ARC port, connect optical or coaxial to the audio system, set the TV audio output to PCM and the extractor is ready.

Questions about this item

Do I need a TV with an HDMI ARC port to use this adapter?

Yes, the adapter only works when connected to a TV HDMI port labeled ARC; it does not support standard HDMI or eARC ports.

Will this adapter pass Dolby Digital 5.1 from my older AV receiver through the optical output?

The adapter supports Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 passthrough, so your receiver can decode those formats if the TV sends them via ARC.

How can I confirm the adapter is outputting audio at 192kHz after setup?

Set the TV audio output to PCM and check the soundbar or receiver display; it should indicate a 192kHz sampling rate when playing compatible content.
