Pocket Radio for Daily Listening

The PRUNUS J-166 is a compact AM FM portable radio built for listeners who want straightforward broadcast reception without internet dependence. It fits in a pocket or emergency kit and runs on two AA batteries, so it works wherever a signal reaches. The simple three-control layout suits older users, walkers and anyone who prefers tactile knobs to menus.

Clip-On Design with Tuning Light

Measuring 2.7 by 1.1 by 5.0 inches and weighing .32 lb, the unit clips to a belt or hangs from a lanyard for hands-free carrying. A 16.5 inch telescopic antenna rotates 360 degrees to pull in stations, while a front tuning indicator shows when a channel is locked. A 3.5 mm earphone jack lets you listen privately without disturbing others.

Upgrade from Phone Apps or Bulky Units

This radio replaces smartphone streaming apps when data is unavailable or battery life is critical, and it replaces larger tabletop sets that lack portability. The jump is worth it for buyers who need reliable AM 520 to 1730 kHz and FM 87 to 108 MHz reception in a device that operates instantly with fresh AA cells. It is not for users who want digital presets, Bluetooth streaming or rechargeable built-in batteries.
