Pyle 8-inch 70 V in-ceiling speaker

The Pyle PDIC8LT is an 8-inch flush-mount speaker designed for 70-volt distributed audio systems in homes or offices. It mounts in walls or ceilings to deliver stereo sound without using floor space. The environmentally friendly ABS construction keeps the installation clean and unobtrusive.

Detachable magnetic grill and cut-out template

A detachable magnetic grill cover snaps on for a finished look and removes easily for painting or cleaning. The included cut-out template simplifies the installation process by marking the exact opening needed. These accessories reduce installation time and help achieve a professional flush-mount appearance.

70 V transformer tapping limits

The built-in 70-volt transformer offers power taps at 20, 15, 10, 5 and 2.5 watts plus an 8-ohm bypass setting. This tapping range sets the maximum output level per speaker on a constant-voltage line. Systems requiring higher per-channel power or different impedance options would need a different transformer configuration.

Questions about this item

Does the magnetic grill need any special cleaning or replacement over time?

The detachable magnetic grill cover lifts off for dusting or wiping; no consumable parts are mentioned, so normal household cleaning is all that is required.

At which transformer tap does the 70 V line hit its power ceiling first?

The 70 V transformer offers taps at 20 W, 15 W, 10 W, 5 W and 2.5 W; the 20 W tap is the highest continuous setting before the amplifier would need to supply more power.

How warm does the ABS enclosure get and is there any fan noise during all-day playback?

The environmentally friendly ABS construction has no active cooling, so the speaker runs silently and its surface temperature stays low during extended use.
