QualGear Cat 7 6 ft Patch Cable

This QualGear Cat 7 Ethernet patch cable measures 6 ft and uses RJ45 connectors on both ends. It is built for home or office networks that require up to 10 Gbps data rates over copper. The red round jacket helps identify the run in a busy patch panel or desk setup.

Check Port Speed and Cable Run

Verify that your router, switch or network card supports 10 Gbps operation; slower ports will negotiate down automatically. Ensure the 6 ft length reaches between your devices without tension, and confirm that the round profile fits your cable-management channels or under-carpet routes.

Upgrade from Cat 5e or Cat 6 Links

Replacing older Cat 5e or Cat 6 patch cords with this Cat 7 cable raises the bandwidth ceiling to 600 MHz and adds triple shielding for cleaner signals. The jump is worth it when you move large files, stream high-bitrate media or run a 10 Gbps backbone between switch and server.

Questions about this item

What comes with the QualGear Cat 7 cable and do I need anything else?

The box contains the 6 ft red round Cat 7 patch cable with RJ45 connectors on both ends. No extra parts are required for a standard wired connection.

Which length should I pick from the 1 ft, 3 ft, 6 ft, 10 ft, 15 ft, 20 ft, 25 ft, 50 ft and 100 ft options?

Choose the shortest length that reaches between your devices with a little slack; the 6 ft version suits typical desk or rack runs while longer lengths cover room-to-room links.

What does the 600 MHz rating mean for everyday use?

It provides the bandwidth headroom for 10 Gbps Ethernet up to 100 m, so the cable will not bottleneck gigabit or 10-gigabit switches, routers or NAS units.
