Product identity

This QualGear Cat 7 Ethernet cable is a 1 ft red flat patch lead with RJ45 connectors at both ends. It is built for short-run connections between networking gear, PCs, consoles or wall ports in home and office environments. The flat profile helps it lie discreetly under carpets or along baseboards.

Decisive specification

The cable is rated for up to 10 Gbps data transfer and a transmission frequency of 600 MHz, with triple-shielded construction and 99.99 % oxygen-free copper conductors. These figures determine whether the link can sustain the throughput your switch, router or NIC requires over this length.

Fit and alternatives

It suits anyone needing a very short, high-speed Cat 7 jumper in a flat red finish for tidy indoor routing. Buyers who need longer runs, different colours or angled connectors for tight ports should look at other lengths and styles in the same range.

Questions about this item

How does the 10 Gbps rating translate to actual file-transfer speed on my network?

The cable supports up to 10 Gbps Ethernet signals over distances up to 100 m, so real-world throughput will match that ceiling provided your router, switch and network cards also run at 10 Gbps.

What does the 600 MHz bandwidth spec limit in everyday use?

A 600 MHz transmission frequency allows the full 10 Gbps signal to pass without degradation, cabling the practical limit to the 10 Gbps Ethernet standard rather than the cable itself.

Will the flat 1 ft red cable fit under a standard carpet or along a baseboard without bulging?

Yes, the flat design is made to run under carpets or along baseboards without creating unsightly bumps, and the 1 ft length suits tight patch-panel or desktop connections.
