The shelf itself uses 1U while its support brackets occupy 2U of rack space. It ships with brackets, screws, cage nuts and instructions for immediate installation.

Mounting depth and minimum clearance

The shelf fits mounting depths from 15 to 31.7 inches and requires a minimum overall installation depth of 28 inches (711 mm). It works with square, round or threaded hole rails. Cabinets shallower than 28 inches cannot accommodate this shelf regardless of rail adjustment. Optional straps and anti-slip mats are available separately for securing devices.
