3.5 mm headset Y splitter

The RCA ENVEL-AUX-6IN adapts a single 3.5 mm four-pole headset plug into separate 3.5 mm three-pole audio and microphone connectors. Gold-plated contacts and oxygen-free copper conductors preserve signal integrity. A 20 cm braided cable resists tangles and adds durability. Plug-and-play operation requires no drivers or configuration.

PC users with combined headset jacks

This splitter suits anyone connecting a headset that has a combined audio and mic plug to a computer or laptop with separate green and pink 3.5 mm ports. It also works with VOIP applications such as Skype, Zoom and Google Voice. Builders whose devices already provide a single four-pole jack or who need longer reach should consider other options.

20 cm cable length

The fixed 20 cm braided lead determines how far the adapter can sit from the host ports. Measure the distance between your headset plug and the PC audio and mic sockets before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How does the 20 cm cable length affect signal quality during long gaming sessions?

The short 20 cm run keeps resistance low, and the oxygen-free copper conductors with 24 K gold-plated contacts minimise loss so audio stays clean even after hours of use.

Does the braided jacket stay cool and quiet when the splitter is left plugged in all day?

The lightweight braided cable produces no fan noise or active heat; it simply carries passive analogue signals, so it remains silent and at room temperature during continuous operation.

My laptop only has a single 3.5 mm combo jack — will this Y-cable work without any extra hardware?

No; the splitter requires separate 3.5 mm headphone (green) and microphone (pink) ports on the host device, so a single combo jack needs an additional TRRS-to-dual-TRRS adapter not included here.
