Time-attendance terminal

The AL355 is a standalone time-attendance terminal that verifies staff by fingerprint, password or ID card. It stores up to 5000 users and 100000 transactions on its internal hardware platform. A 2.8 inch LCD screen guides each check-in, while TCP/IP, WiFi and a USB memory disk port handle data transfer. The unit ships with bracket, power supply, screws and software CD.

Suitable for small offices needing multi-mode

This terminal suits businesses that want fingerprint, card and password options without a dedicated server. It is not for sites that require more than 5000 enrolled users or need biometric modalities such as face or iris recognition. Environments without Windows XP through Win10 support should also consider alternatives.

5000 user and fingerprint capacity drives

The single figure that decides fit is the 5000 limit for users, fingerprints and cards combined. If your workforce exceeds that number, the device cannot accommodate everyone. Networks relying on protocols other than TCP/IP or WiFi will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

How does the 500 DPI fingerprint sensor perform during daily clock-in?

The 500 DPI sensor reads a fingerprint in under one second and stores up to 5000 templates, so queues stay short even at shift change.

What does TCP/IP and WiFi connectivity actually limit in a live network?

Both interfaces push attendance logs to the server in real time; the 100000-transaction buffer covers temporary outages without data loss.

What wall space and fixings does the 17.2 x 13.2 x 3.4 cm unit need?

The supplied bracket mounts with four screws; the unit fits a 17.2 cm wide by 13.2 cm high footprint and protrudes 3.4 cm from the wall.
