Multiple identification methods

The Realand AL355 supports fingerprint, password and ID card authentication for up to 5000 users. A 500 DPI sensor delivers fast and reliable verification on the 2.8 inch LCD screen. Network connectivity is provided through TCP/IP and WiFi, with a USB memory disk port for offline data transfer. The device runs on the REALAND Face 2960 platform and includes a backup battery for continuous operation.

Capacity and headroom

The terminal stores 5000 fingerprint templates and 5000 card records while logging up to 100000 transactions before the buffer fills. This headroom suits small to medium workforces with daily clocking activity. When the transaction log reaches its limit, older entries must be cleared or exported via the USB disk slot to maintain recording. The 5000 user ceiling also caps future expansion without adding another unit.

Upgrade path

The AL355 replaces standalone fingerprint readers or manual sign-in sheets that lack network reporting. The jump is worth it when an organisation needs centralised attendance data across multiple sites using TCP/IP or WiFi. It does not suit buyers who want more storage for biometric templates or builders who need a second card technology not supported by the hardware. The bundled bracket, power supply and CD enable immediate deployment on Windows XP through Windows 10 systems.
