8MP PoE camera with 5x optical zoom

The Reolink RLC-811A is a wired 8MP network camera that captures 3840 x 2160 video at 25 frames per second. Power and data run over a single RJ45 cable using IEEE 802.3af PoE. A 2.7–13.5 mm motorised lens provides 5x optical zoom without digital interpolation. Infrared LEDs reach up to 30 metres, and built-in spotlights enable full-colour night vision when triggered.

Human and vehicle detection for focused alerts

On-board analytics distinguish people and vehicles from animals or shadows, reducing false notifications. The camera suits installers who want a single-cable PoE deployment and colour low-light footage. Buyers needing wireless connectivity, battery operation, or local storage beyond a 256 GB microSD card should consider other form factors.

MicroSD slot supports up to 256 GB

Footage is stored directly on a microSD card with a maximum capacity of 256 GB; no internal drive or cloud quota is included. The slot accepts standard microSD media, so recording duration depends entirely on the card chosen and the bitrate selected in the camera settings.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the RLC-811A is recording 4K video at 25fps after installation?

Open the Reolink app or client, go to the live view, and confirm the stream shows 3840 x 2160 resolution at 25 frames per second in the video settings.

What accessories come in the box with the RLC-811A and what must I purchase separately?

The package includes one camera unit; a micro SD card up to 256 GB and an IEEE 802.3af 48 V PoE injector or switch are not included and must be bought separately.

Which storage capacity should I choose for the micro SD card slot that supports up to 256 GB?

Select a card up to the maximum 256 GB; larger cards store more 4K footage before overwriting, while smaller cards fill faster at 3840 x 2160 resolution.
