Directional Yagi Antenna Kit for LAX20 Router

This high-gain directional Yagi antenna kit is built for the Netgear Nighthawk AX4 4G LTE Wi-Fi 6 Router. It supplies every component needed to boost a single LTE antenna port, including cables, connectors, a pigtail, lightning protection and a mounting kit. Buyers needing to enhance both antenna ports must order two separate kits.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The antenna is a passive aluminium assembly with no active electronics, so it generates no heat, consumes no power and produces no audible noise during operation. The included DC ground lightning protection device helps safeguard the connected router from outdoor electrical surges. All parts are rated for permanent outdoor installation.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Signal gain remains consistent over extended periods because the directional Yagi design maintains its radiation pattern without drift. The 50 ft low-loss 400-series cable limits attenuation across the full run, preserving link quality during continuous data sessions. The kit delivers stable performance for as long as the router and network remain active.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 35 x 8.5 x 2.5 inch yagi antenna and where does the TS9 pigtail connect on the LAX20 router?

The kit includes a mounting bracket for pole or wall installation; point the antenna toward the nearest tower, then attach the supplied TS9 pigtail to either of the two external LTE antenna ports on the Netgear Nighthawk AX4 LAX20 router.

What parts of this antenna kit may need replacement after extended outdoor exposure?

The 50 ft 400-series coaxial cable and the TS9 pigtail are the primary components that can degrade from UV, moisture or physical stress; the aluminum yagi elements and DC-ground lightning protector are designed for long-term outdoor service.

What is the practical signal-loss limit of the included 50 ft 400-series cable on the LAX20 setup?

At typical LTE frequencies the 50 ft 400-series cable introduces roughly 1.5–2 dB of attenuation, which is the first limiting factor for sustained gain before the router’s own receiver noise floor becomes dominant.
