Ricoh ScanSnap iX2500 Photo Edition

The Ricoh ScanSnap iX2500 Photo Edition is a dedicated photo scanner built for users who need to digitise large print collections quickly. It combines a 100-sheet automatic document feeder with specialised carrier sheets that protect delicate originals during high-volume batch scanning.

45 ppm duplex scanning with ultrasonic detection

The scanner captures double-sided pages at 45 ppm while an ultrasonic sensor detects multi-feeds to prevent missed images. A CIS sensor pair and 600 dpi optical resolution ensure consistent detail across every scan, and the ADF holds up to 36 photos per load.

Carrier sheets and image enhancement software

Included photo carrier sheets shield fragile prints from contact damage during feeding. Built-in software applies automatic rotation, cropping, colour restoration and red-eye reduction to improve visual clarity without manual editing.
