Ricoh SP-1425 flatbed and ADF scanner

The Ricoh SP-1425 combines a flatbed with a 50-sheet automatic document feeder for single-pass duplex scanning. It captures colour documents at 600 dpi optical resolution with 24-bit colour depth. The unit weighs 16 kg and handles media up to 8.50 by 120 inches through the ADF.

Suited for offices scanning mixed batches daily

This scanner fits teams that need both batch feeding and flatbed flexibility for items such as ID cards or bound pages. Ultrasonic multi-feed detection helps maintain accuracy on large jobs. Buyers who require a higher daily duty cycle or network-only operation without a local PC connection should consider other options.

600 dpi optical resolution drives capture detail

The fixed optical resolution of 600 dpi determines the maximum detail recorded for archival or OCR workflows. Interpolated settings do not add true information. Verify that this resolution meets your quality threshold before purchase.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the flatbed glass so I know what paper sizes fit?

The flatbed scan area measures 8.50" x 11.70" so it accepts A4, Letter and smaller documents.

Does the scanner come with a USB cable and driver disc, or do I download the software?

Connect the scanner via USB, then download the latest TWAIN and ISIS drivers from Ricoh's support site for your operating system.

How often should the ADF rollers be replaced on a 50-sheet feeder?

The 50-sheet ADF rollers are rated for high-volume use; replace them when multi-feed detection triggers frequently or scan quality drops.
