Purpose-built sheet-fed scanner

The Ricoh ScanSnap iX2500 (PA03860-B105) is a sheet-fed document scanner designed for offices that need fast, two-sided capture. It processes up to 45 double-sided sheets per minute through a 100-page automatic document feeder. A 5-inch LCD touch screen lets users start jobs and adjust settings without a computer.

Suited for high-volume paper workflows

This model suits teams that digitise large batches of invoices, contracts or receipts every day. Duplex scanning and ultrasonic double-feed detection reduce manual intervention. Buyers who only scan occasional single pages or need a flatbed for bound books should look at a different form factor.

Software bundle enables immediate organisation

The box includes a USB 3.2 Type-C cable, an AC adapter, a receipt guide and a welcome guide. Kofax Power PDF Standard and ScanSnap Home with the OCR pack for Windows are provided as downloads. These tools add searchable PDF creation, automatic file naming and cloud routing so scanned files are ready to use straight away.

Questions about this item

Does my PC need a USB 3.2 port to use the cable supplied with the iX2500?

The box includes a USB 3.2 Type-C cable; the scanner also works over Wi-Fi 6 if your computer lacks that port.

Can the iX2500 share a Wi-Fi 6 network with older 2.4 GHz-only devices?

Yes, the scanner connects on 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz bands, so legacy hardware stays on the same network.

How do I confirm the ultrasonic double-feed detection is active after setup?

Feed a stack; the 5-inch LCD touch screen will show a double-feed alert and pause the scan if two sheets enter together.
