Four-Port NVMe Expansion Card

This PCIe x16 adapter adds four M-key NVMe slots to a desktop or workstation. It targets builders who need high-density flash storage on a single expansion slot and whose platforms support PCIe bifurcation. The card accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 drives.

Bifurcation and Lane Limits

The board requires a motherboard that can split a x16 link into four x4 links and expose the setting as "PCI-e x4x4x4x4" in firmware. Without that capability only the first drive will be detected. The host CPU must also provide enough lanes to feed all four ports simultaneously.

Capacity and Thermal Headroom

A bundled heatsink spreads heat across all four installed SSDs during sustained transfers. Each port delivers a 32 Gbps link so four Gen 4.0 drives can run at full speed, while Gen 3.0 drives operate at their native rate. SATA-based M.2 modules are not supported.
