Outdoor Wired Security Camera

The Ring Spotlight Cam Wired is a 12MP outdoor security camera that captures 1080p HD video with a 140-degree field of view. It is designed for homeowners who want a permanently powered monitoring solution with colour night vision and two-way audio communication.

Wired Power and Smart Integration

A wired power connection removes the need to recharge batteries and ensures continuous operation. The camera connects to a standard power plug and integrates with Amazon Alexa-enabled devices for voice control and live view access. Cloud storage is available for saving recorded footage.

Night Vision and Audio Performance

Built-in night vision allows clear recording in low-light conditions without external lighting. The camera records audio alongside video, capturing sound across the monitored area. Wired power delivers consistent performance for both video streaming and audio features.

Questions about this item

How long can the 1080p recording run before the wired power supply becomes the limiting factor?

The camera draws continuous power from a standard mains plug, so 1080p recording is sustained for as long as the outlet remains energised.

Does the 12MP sensor or the 140° lens generate noticeable heat or fan noise during all-day operation?

The unit has no moving parts and runs silently; its wired design keeps surface temperatures low even during continuous outdoor use.

Which Amazon Alexa-enabled device must I already own to view the 1080p feed and enable cloud storage?

Any Alexa device with a screen — such as an Echo Show or Fire TV — will display the live 1080p stream and manage cloud recordings.
