Two-camera analogue CCTV kit

This kit contains two dome cameras built around a 1/3" Sony Effio CCD sensor. Each unit delivers up to 700 TV lines of horizontal resolution through a wired BNC connection. A 3.5~8 mm varifocal lens lets the installer adjust the field of view on site. The cameras are rated for outdoor or indoor mounting.

Installers adding to an existing DVR system

The cameras suit anyone expanding a traditional analogue recorder that accepts composite video over coaxial cable. They are not for buyers who need IP networking, HD-SDI or HD-CVI signals, or wireless transmission. The package includes two 12 V DC power supplies and a warning sticker.

700 TVL resolution over BNC

The single specification that decides compatibility is the 700 TVL analogue output on a BNC connector. If the recorder expects a digital network stream or a higher-definition analogue format, these cameras will not work with it.

Questions about this item

How often should the 17 IR LEDs be checked or replaced?

The 17 IR LEDs are solid-state emitters with no user-serviceable parts; they run continuously in night mode and typically last many years before any noticeable drop in illumination.

What limits the 700 TVL resolution during long recording sessions?

The 1/3″ Sony Effio CCD and analog BNC output fix the horizontal resolution at 700 TVL; sustained use does not reduce this figure, but the DVR's own recording bitrate or compression may become the practical ceiling.

How much heat does the camera produce when powered at DC 12 V all day?

Operating from a 12 V DC supply, the dome draws only modest current for the CCD and 17 IR LEDs, so the housing stays warm to the touch but well within its weatherproof design limits.
