Rubbermaid Dome Top Swing Lid

The Rubbermaid 264788 gray dome top swing lid fits commercial waste receptacles with a secure snap-lock design. Its spring-action door opens for easy disposal and closes automatically to contain odors and deter insects. The resin construction is guaranteed not to fade, warp, crack or crush under regular use. This lid suits facilities needing reliable indoor or outdoor waste containment.

Sustained Use Durability

The vented dome structure resists deformation during continuous service in high-traffic areas. Snap-lock engagement maintains alignment after repeated opening and closing cycles without loosening. Spring tension on the swing door remains consistent, ensuring reliable self-closure over long periods. The resin material withstands weather exposure and cleaning chemicals without degrading.

Practical Fit Constraints

This lid only functions with compatible BRUTE containers that accept the snap-lock mounting system. The swing door clearance requires unobstructed vertical space above the receptacle for full operation. Outdoor installation demands a stable base on the container to prevent wind displacement. No hardware or adapters are included for non-standard receptacles.

Questions about this item

Does the snap-lock lid stay shut and quiet when the container is full and left outside all day?

The spring-action door closes automatically after each use, and the snap-lock design holds the lid firmly in place so it will not rattle or blow open in wind.

What size BRUTE container is required for the 264788 dome top to fit?

This lid is made for Rubbermaid BRUTE round containers; the snap-lock engages only when matched to the correct diameter BRUTE base.

Will the gray resin lid become brittle or discoloured if I keep using my older BRUTE cans year after year?

The manufacturer guarantees the resin will never fade, warp, crack or crush, so the lid remains compatible with existing BRUTE containers over long-term outdoor exposure.
