Metal bracket adapts a 2.5 drive to a 3.5 bay with screw-free mounting and 12 x 10 x 1.5 cm internal dimensions
This metal bracket adapts a 2.5-inch notebook hard disk or SATA SSD for installation in a standard 3.5-inch desktop drive bay. The frame uses four internal columns that align with the drive's side screw holes to hold the device securely without extra screws between the bracket and the drive. It is compatible with SATA I, II and III interfaces.
The bracket suits anyone fitting a 2.5-inch SATA hard disk or SSD into a 3.5-inch slot in a desktop case or similar enclosure. It does not serve users who need to mount an M.2 drive, nor those requiring a 2.5-inch bay for a 3.5-inch drive. Buyers without a spare 3.5-inch mounting position should look elsewhere.
The bracket's internal space measures 12 by 10 by 1.5 centimetres, which determines whether a specific 2.5-inch drive will fit. Verify the drive's physical size against these figures before purchase. The open metal construction also allows airflow around the installed drive.

The bracket has internal dimensions of 12 x 10 x 1.5 cm (length x width x height) to fit a 2.5-inch drive.
Four inner columns on the bracket align with the drive's side screw holes to hold the SSD firmly in place without screws.
The bracket uses the same screws that secure a standard 3.5-inch hard drive to fix it into the desktop chassis bay.
