BNC Male Video Balun Pair

This pair of BNC male video balun connectors links coaxial CCTV cameras to CAT5 twisted-pair cable for surveillance installations. Each unit handles 12 to 24 volt power and carries video signals up to 8 megapixel and 4K resolutions across AHD, CVI and TVI formats. The metal and plastic housing measures 4.3 by 1.3 centimetres and includes two sets of screws and nuts for secure termination. Two connectors are supplied per lot.

Installers extending CCTV runs over UTP cable

Technicians who need to convert BNC coaxial feeds to CAT5 for longer cable runs will find these passive transceivers a direct fit. They are not suited for installers who require active signal amplification, built-in power injection or connectors with a different impedance or pinout.

Passive BNC-to-CAT5 transceiver for 8MP and 4K

The single specification that determines compatibility is the passive video balun design rated for 12 to 24 volt operation and 8 megapixel or 4K twisted-pair transmission. If the project demands active equalisation, PoE integration or a different voltage range, a different converter type is required.
