20-Pack Square Rubber Drive Belts

This pack supplies twenty square-section rubber belts for cassette mechanisms, CD-ROM drives, Walkmans and similar vintage equipment. Each belt measures 1.2 mm wide with a folded length between 30 mm and 40 mm. They are intended for hobbyists and repair technicians restoring tape transports or optical drives.

Material and profile benefits

The square cross-section distributes tension evenly across pulleys, reducing slippage during start-stop cycles. Premium rubber compound resists stretching and vibration-induced fatigue, so the belts retain grip longer than round-section equivalents. No additional hardware or lubricants are included in the package.

Capacity and fit limits

Twenty pieces cover multiple deck overhauls or a small workshop stock. The random folded length within the 30-40 mm range means each belt must be checked against the specific pulley diameter before installation. Belts outside this length window or wider than 1.2 mm will not be served by this assortment.

Questions about this item

How often should these 1.2 mm square rubber belts be replaced in a cassette deck?

Replace a belt when it stretches, slips, or loses grip; there is no fixed service interval for the 20 belts in the pack.

What stops the belts from working during continuous playback?

Heat and age make the rubber lose elasticity, so slippage is the first limit you will notice in a recorder or Walkman.

Do the belts generate noticeable heat or noise when the drive runs all day?

The rubber material runs silently and adds no measurable heat to the mechanism.
