32 cm 24-pin PSU extension cable

This 32 cm cable extends a standard 24-pin ATX power connection between a power supply and a motherboard. It uses 18 AWG tinned-copper conductors with PVC insulation and a 2.1 mm outer diameter. The male end combines a 20-pin and 4-pin section so it also fits older 20-pin mainboards. The female end accepts the PSU's native 24-pin plug.

Sustained-load behaviour

Each conductor is built from 34 strands of 0.12 mm tinned copper rated for 80 °C continuous operation. The 18 AWG gauge keeps voltage drop low across the 32 cm run even when the system draws full load for long periods. PVC sleeving protects the wires from abrasion inside a crowded case without trapping heat.
