A passive BNC-to-RJ45 balun pair transmits video, power and audio over UTP cable up to 6 MHz bandwidth
This pair of passive transceivers converts BNC video, audio and 12 V DC power signals to run over a single UTP cable with RJ45 connectors. It is designed for installers who want to simplify CCTV cabling by replacing coaxial runs with standard CAT5 wiring. The units handle both sending and receiving roles without external power.
Video bandwidth extends from DC to 6 MHz with 60 dB common-mode rejection between 15 kHz and 6 MHz. The baluns accept NTSC, PAL, CCIR and SECAM baseband formats and operate from -10 °C to +70 °C. Because they are passive, maximum cable length depends on the UTP quality and the camera’s own drive capability.
Each unit presents a 75 Ω BNC male interface for coaxial equipment and a 100 Ω RJ45 interface for the twisted-pair link. This fixed impedance pairing determines whether the balun will work with a given camera and recorder combination.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The balun is designed for standard UTP cable systems such as CAT5 with RJ45 connectors to carry video, audio and DC 12V power over a single run.
Real-time monochrome or colour transmission of PAL, NTSC or SECAM baseband signals with a frequency response of DC to 6MHz and 60dB common-mode rejection from 15kHz to 6MHz.
The RJ45 port is a UTP data connector rated at 100 ohms impedance for the balun's video, audio and power signals; it does not pass Ethernet traffic.
